As soon as those bins of fresh corn start showing up in the vegetable section you know it is time for summer and cookouts! Corn is so versatile and been around as a staple for so long that it’s easy to overlook what a healthy food it can be.
Different types of corn can have very different nutritional profiles. Popcorn for instance has a much higher mineral content than sweet corn, but sweet corn is higher in many vitamins.
